Hi All,
Someone asked in the last week about a FAQ page to help the newly
diagnosed... The idea was discussed here last year but it sorta died
on the vine because there are a lot of excellent resources already
available...

Parkinson's Disease - Doctor's Guide to the Internet
http://www.pslgroup.com/PARKINSON.HTM

Scroll down to:
 FAQs About Parkinson's Disease
http://www.wemove.org/par_faq.html

Other sites with Parkinson "Facts":
http://www.parkinson.ca/newlydiagnosed.html
http://www.parkinson.org/eduindex.htm
http://www.parkinsonsinstitute.org/parkinsons.html
http://www.pdf.org/
http://www.apdaparkinson.com/
http://www.parkinsonalliance.org/
http://www.wpda.org/

If that's not enough you can try:
http://ww.neurogate.com/neuro/index2.html

and of course several members of this list have provided informative
sites...

Janet Paterson's Site
http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Village/6263/

Simon Coles Site
http://james.parkinsons.org.uk/search.htm

Phil Tomkin's Site
http://www.pdindex.com

Arthur Hirsch's Site
(perhaps a good starting place for a newbie - read Art's warnings re:
info obtained via the Internet)
http://www.fortunecity.com/meltingpot/farley/817/blynx.html

The above links (and their spinoffs) should keep any newly diagnosed
PWP busy for a long time and should suffice for a beginners insight
into Parkinson's Disease.

All the very best ............... murray
