Just watched an excellent interview with Christopher and Dana Reeve on
Donahue. There was much discussion and clear explanation on the science
and hope of stem cell research. According to Reeve, with Congress stalled
on stem cell legislation, the focus will shift to the states, following
the passage of the bill authorizing stem-cell research from any source
for therapeutic purposes in California this week. Reeve stated that New
Jersey  (where Reeve's center is located ) will be next to consider such
legislation, and encouraged people to contact their own state government
legislators about supporting stem cell research.
