I got all the emails recommending books, but what is the context? What started this discussion?

Hello chatelain(e)s,
I can't recommend highly enough Edward Tufte's The Cognitive Style of
PowerPoint (Graphics Press, 2003, www.edwardtufte.com
<http://www.edwardtufte.com> ). It is a concise (28-page) critique of
PowerPoint technology. It will be of interest, I think, to anyone
interested in the medium / technology, as well as to anyone interested
in the power of pamphleteering.
It confirmed my prejudices, but I **still** liked it.
(Chatelain(e)s are people who live in caslls.)
Cheers,
Jamie MacKinnon
