Dear Inkshedders and CASDW/ACR colleagues (with apologies for
cross-posting):
After an external review several years ago, and after a survey of
writing programs for management students to which many of you
contributed (see http://www.stthomasu.ca/inkshed/procter.htm on the
Inkshed site), the Rotman Commerce program at U of T has formed its own
plans for teaching writing to its undergraduates. It has just announced
the formation of a Communications Skills Development Centre to "create
innovative and integrative assessment and programming initiatives."
The ad for a Director and CAO is posted online at
https://utoronto.taleo.net/careersection/10000/jobsearch.ftl?lang=en
(job number 0801249). As the title suggests, the position is very much
managerial rather than faculty, but it will involve some contact with
courses and curricula. The Director will supervise three other full-time
people and a range of outside consultants. The position is open to both
internal and external candidates, and the deadline for application is
November 7.
Please let interested people know about this opportunity.
Margaret.
