I didn't know there was a home care Medicare benefit.  I have help two days 
a week which I have always paid for.  Its costly.  For about a year I did 
have a Medicare nurse who came once a month to check on me.  Then they 
stopped it.  It was an experimental program I found out about at a AZNPF 
yearly meeting or a symposium.

In my first years of PD in CA I looked into long term care and learned then 
that Medicare would pay for it if you were destitute and could find an 
available bed.  Apparently there are different levels of assisted living in 
nursing homes.  You could go from bad to worse (after spending ALL of your 
own money of course.

I have always lived alone and am going to try to stay at home as long as I 
can.  I would be interested in any information you might have on this 
benefit.  I am 73 and have Medicare as my primary and Anthem Blue Cross/Blue 
Shield as my secondary.
