1. The University of Kansas is currently staging _Midsummer Night's
Dream_ in a production using original pronunciation. The play is
directed by Paul Meier of the KU Theatre Department, who hosted a
two-week residence by the distinguished historian of the language, David
Crystal. Crystal, who advised a London "OP" production by the New Globe
Theatre, helped the actors in the early stages of rehearsal. He believes
that this _MND_ is the first such production in the USA.
