Applications are invited for a part-time position as Writing Centre
Assistant in the Department of Student Services, University of New
Brunswick, Saint John. This is a term position: 10 weeks, 15 hours
per week, from January 20, 1997 to April 4, 1997, excluding March 3-
7. The salary range is $14.72 to $15.23 per hour.
The Writing Centre Assistant teaches writing, one-on-one, to students
at all levels of ability in the context of their writing assignments
in all disciplines. He/she reports to the Supervisor of the
Writing Centre.
The successful candidate should have a Master's Degree in English or
in a field related to writing. He/she should demonstrate the
following abilities: ability to write clearly and effectively and to
articulate what constitutes good writing; ability to critique
drafts; ability to develop positive relationships with individual
students; ability to work in a team environment.
