There is still time to register for a unique program to help PWP help
themselves to be more independent. It is entitled "Keep Moving Through
Empowerment" and will be held October 5, 1997 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at
8110 Gatehouse Road in Falls Church, Virginia.

The program will include: DESIGNING YOUR OWN LIFE-PLAN
                                             THE POWER OF POSITIVE
THINKING
                                             REDISCOVERING YOUR
SPIRITUALITY
                                             MANAGING STRESS BEFORE IT
MANAGES YOU

The facilitators are individuals with Parkinson's or are actively
engaged in working with PWP. They are: Terrie Whitling, Debbie Mills,
Lynda Hendricks, and Rusty Gl;azer. This one-day workshop will provde
you with knowledge of specific ways of increasing personal power.
Personalized life-plans will be developed in afternoon sessions. Plans
will be designed such that, if you choose, you can immediately begin to
implement them to work toward a happier, healthier, more independent
life.

The cost of registration is $25 per person and covers lunch, breaks and

Caregivers may attend the workshop or choose another option for the day
such as a special group outing or an informal sharing session with other
