Dear Nancy and Stacey,
It's fine to eat protein only at the evening meal, if that is what works
best for you. However, weight loss that is unintended is usually not
healthful.

I would recommend you contact Hearty Balance, and use their products for
two weeks in place of breakfast and lunch. If you find that your off
times are reduced, or that your Sinemet now works better for you, then
you can safely assume that the 7:1 menu plan is a good one for you. This
means you can eat small amounts of protein along with large amounts of
carbohydrate throughout the day.

Example:
Breakfast
1 egg, cooked as you like it
2 slices whole-wheat bread, toasted
2 tsp butter or margarine
2 TB jam, jelly, or honey
8 oz calcium-fortified orange juice
1/2 cup fruit
(630 calories, 15 grams protein, 106 grams carbohydrate, 8 grams fiber,
409 mg calcium; ratio 7:1 carb to protein)

I would also recommend you eat small nutritious snacks between meals.
This should help prevent further weight loss, and will also provide the
extra nutrients you need for good health. A can of Hearty Balance, or a
Kellogg's Nutri-Grain bar, would work with a 7:1 plan.

My very best regards,
Kathrynne
