there have been a couple of requests for information on Tasmar
which is the trade drug name of one of the two new comt inhibitors
the generic drug name is tolcapone

i have posted several news articles and pubmed abstracts
on the new meds during the past year

those of us with web access
can search the pd list archives at the 'James' website
kindly provided by Simon Coles:

1. go to his website:
     "Welcome to James"  at:
     http://new.parkinsons.org.uk/index.htm

2. click on the 'hot link' to the search page
     and then enter the following terms in the search query window:
     tolcapone AND janet paterson

     [if you search on tolcapone only,
     you will be faced with a list of over 100 messages]

3. you should then received a list of approximately 19 messages
     click on one of them to look at it
     you could then print it, or download it, or mail it to yourself
