Hi Tania,
Your prodding will possibly help all of us learn what's going on in
Canada.
You asked for recent research. At this point 1995 seems to be fading
into distant past, but you might be interested in looking at the
report on Writing Centres done by the UCC Writing Centre then.
You can find it on the Web at <Cariboo.bc.ca/ae/WRTGCNTR.Survey.htm>.
We requested information from 107 institutions and got replies from 33.
Those 33 are analyzed and codified for information that we found useful in
setting up our writing centre.
At this point, however, I'd like to ask CASLLers to identify
Canadian graduate programs in rhetoric and composition, programs
which we at Cariboo could recommend to our graduating students interested
in continuing in rhet/comp.
Besides Waterloo, what are the options? What's the state of programs at
UBC, SFU, McGill, Carleton--anywhere else?
Cheers,
Henry Hubert
