the proliferation of DBS of STN in Europe may be partially leading our
medical community with 'socialized' medicine being central in the
availability of the surgery.

are the patient costs here in USA about what the Canadian and European
establishments pay to provide the Medtronic parts and the surgeons pay?

the $35,000 and $20,000 for battery replacement are too high imo. a
redesign to battery function seems an obvious need.
