Gregg: I have volunteered for the GMI gangliodide study at Thomas Jefferson.
 In Oct
my neuro sent my clinical records to Thomas Jefferson. They called me and I
made
an appt, for Jan, 20th, for an interview and tests to see if I qualify. You
have to be
off you pd medication (eg sinemet) for at least 12 hrs prior to appt. Also,
if you take
mirapex, you must be off it for 24hrs. Also, do not eat after midnight the
nightbefore. PD related tests are done both off med. and on med. There was
no
mention of reimbrsement. This study requires that you give yourself
injections twice
a day. I'm not sure how many visits are made to Thomas Jefferson during
study.

After my interview, I have to wait to see if I am selected. Contact person
is Stephenie Ferraro at 215-955-8700.

Good luck - Edie
