Brian, I have worn a medic-alert bracelet since I was young mother.......severe drug allergies known many years prior to diagnosis of PD. My medic-alert bracelet now includes Parkinsons. It does seem to help and seems to be a recognizable and identifiable medical problem indicator. (someone did mention a while back that a yearly fee is now required by Medic-Alert....I think that is optional.....at least my ID# is active in their computer base and I am not certain that I had always sent them a yearly contribution.) This also is helpful if you are in an accident......paramedics can identify problems quickly or get medical information. Men may have ID in their wallet in their pocket.........if there are a couple of women in the car however, which handbag belongs to which woman?? or was it thrown clear in the accident? (or god forbid that someone would have to find my ID in my purse sometimes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) Medic-Alert is in Turlock, CA...........209 area code.......they may have an 800 number.........I have no financial interest in Medic-Alert. The ID card for the wallet from NPF is also very useful........have it laminated and keep it next to your driver's license or other ID that is used. Rita Weeks 55/10
