Good news on update regarding Ivan's campaign in Maine on his behalf as well
as that of other PWPs who may find themselves in similar situations is as
follows:

Ivan had contacted Governor Angus King regarding his situation with Portland,
Maine and impending foreclosure on his home.

Ivan spoke with the Governor about Howard Reben, a leading civil rights
attorney in the state of Maine with offices in Portland. Governor King
contacted Mr. Reben on Ivan's behalf. Mr. Reben has spoken with Peter Evans,
the attorney who was going to take Ivan's case and was then unable to do so
due to a decision made by the senior partners of his law firm who weighed the
resources and current commitments of their staff and determined they were
unable to take on such a case at this time.

Mr. Reben has spoken with senior partner, Bob Mittel and to Mr. Evans about
three potential attorneys each with civil rights experience, whereby if any
one of them would agree to take on the case, Ivan's situation could be given
fair consideration. These three attorneys are Jeff Young, Susan Wallace and
Dennis Levandoski.

Mr. Reben suggested that Peter Evans personally contact each of them and
explain the case to them since he has taken extensive notes from his
conversations with Ivan. The purpose or efforts to be made in Ivan's behalf
by one of these three attorneys, would be to complete negotiating a
"reasonable" agreement with Portland, Maine. As explained to me, the law of
Americans with Disabilities Act, requires or stipulates that reasonable
accommodations must be made in the case of disease or disability.
