Shirley, The following is not a joke, it may be helpful: where I live we have many people who live here half the year and when they come back they hear "crickets" in there apartments, which are really a smoke detector warning of a weak or almost dead battery! It is very much like the sound of a cricket. I hope you are so lucky to find out that is what you are hearing. Of course if it follows you outside, or in the car.....it can't be that. Ken B
