I am speaking out of line perhaps but hieroglyphics are a good term for a modern rendition of this style.  I look at his signature and I see it as if it is silhouetted in shadows, only partly exposed ..If one looks at it as missing parts of its outline then ones imagination fills it in.  the rest is balanced if you noticed too; very artistic in fact.  :)

    Sorry to impose, but after your explanation of html etc. would you perhaps also be willing to explain the hieroglyphs you use as your signature? I (and perhaps others too) have been racking my brain for months trying to figure them out, but still can't see it. Please show us some light.
