It's advised by any of the movement disorder specialists I know of
that a Parkie NEVER should be taken off PD-related meds cold
turkey.

IF you take your dad off Sinemet cold turkey chances are he'll be
climbing the walls within a few hours.

Why not wean Dad off the drugs over several days, which is the
safest way to go off an addictive drug such as Sinemet or Mirapex,
etc.???
