Hi this is *seattle * audrey..
My good friend in australia is the reason I joined
this list. But not the reason I now stay on it thanks to all the wonderful
people I have come to know through the emails that come here ..I need some help
if it is possible for him.. I signed him onto the list and he said he did email
it this morning. Up to now, he has been resistant to the idea of a message
board thinking it was hokey or one that was the usual type one sees on certain
sites. I have explained the differences that I have come to recognize that make
this so unique. Today I spoke with him on ICQ, and he has been unable to
go to work; to do the job he has as a nuclear medicine specialist * my title
not his maybe* ... He has been cramping in his stomach and especially in his
legs. It has been hot there during the day and it is wearing for
him . I have read that this is not comfortable for pwps.. My question is
this: Is there any help for his cramps? He has been drinking gatoraid to add
electrolytes and fluids to his body but is that helpful in reality ? I asked one
on the list that and he said it isnt .. I agree... In this case, I am not the
one who is a pwp and not a care provider and not a family member of his... I am
trying so hard to help find information and to be his shoulder to lean on
sometimes and an ear for him too. What else can I do ? Is there anything
at all? He is on .50mg cogentin and one other anti nausea med which I dont know
its name.. His neuro is in melbourne and he has little faith in him ..an earlier
message I sent explains this doctor's advice in detail .. btw he is 48/maybe 10
years since onset..
Thank you all for being here for me a semi -lurker
I guess...
audrey
