Maggie (and your "youngish-Parkie-friend")

If your PD friend is able to do so, I suggest before you go
looking for a specialized pharmacy for is PD meds, see if - when
he takes his pills - just tipping his chin/head down a little from
his usual drinking position (I.e., just hold his head straight,
rather than tipping it BACKWARDS as he swallows) and see if
THAT'LL help get the pills down.

This simple change was suggested to ME several years ago (and I've
had PD for 25 years) and it's worked like a charm each and every
time!

Good luck to your "youngish" friend (grinning)

Subject: swallowing

>A youngish relative of mine with PD is beginning to have
difficulty swallowing pills. He has been good about taking
vitamins and I'm afraid he will become discouraged about taking
them now. I'm wondering if there is a pharmacy which specializes
in high potency small size pills. Thanks for your help.
