What are the pleasures of life? 1. Getting upon a winter's morning at 6 am and taking my 4 year old Airedale Terrier "Madam" out in the fresh snow 2. Having a large - 4 tablespoons of espresso - cafe au lait while I read the morning papers 3. Going to Church and having the service conducted with dignity with a superb choir 4. Having a good day with my writing projects 5. Being with people I love 6. realizing how fortunate I am 7. Occasionally having a very dry martini before dinner (I keep the gin bottle in the freezer) 8. Reading a good book 9. Being in love 10. Helping people
