            Rather than worrying about smaller pills it might be an idea to tackle his swallowing difficulty in general. He should see a speech therapist. If his swallowing deteriorates it will effect his fluid intake which can lead to constipation, he may develop difficulty with eating which will result in weight loss. My suggestion, if at all possible see a speech therapist
