The only "tremor" disorder in which alcohol can be of benefit is in > a neurologic condition known as Essential or Benign Familial Tremor. However, about 10 - 20 % of PD patients have an additional tremor resembling the tremor seen in Essential Tremor. In these cases alcohol may be of benefit for this specific type of tremor in PD.
