Alpha-synuclein Parkinsons is a Genetic Parkinsons where there is an extra threonine always being produced. This causes increased lipid peroxidation. In the usual Parkinsons disease, an increase in ferric iron or Fe3+ iron binds with dopamine and causes an increased in lipid peroxidation. The lipid peroxidation in both cases is what destroys neuromelanin cells and causes Parkinsons disease. I guess according to Dr. Eliezer Masliah this lipid peroxidation by an extra threonine also causes Alzheimers. Huntington's Chorea is a similar disease in that it keeps producing an extra glutamine. The glutamine builds up and builds up transglutaminase instead of alpha-synuclein. Both Huntington's Chorea and Alpha-synuclein Parkinsons are diseases caused by an abnormal accumulation of protein. This doesn't happen in most Parkinsons disease. Lewy Bodies are formed when N-Methyl binds tubulin, and when it stimulates the MAP Cascade that produces MAP1 and MAP2. Lewy Bodies are made out of MAP1, MAP2 and tubulin. Alzheimer's disease also has an accumulation of transglutaminase. They have discovered two retinoids that regulate the making of transglutaminase by Dr. Peter Davies who is researching these retinoids in their relationship to Alzheimers disease. . If these retinoids are produced they could help Alzheimer's disease and Huntington's Chorea. I've written to a couple of drug companies to see if they can make these retinoids since HD is also important to me. Alpha-synuclein does cause Parkinsons Disease, but only a rare form of Parkinsons Disease. I've counted about 10 to 15 genes in trying to figure out Parkinsons Disease. And no matter what they discover about alpha synuclein, it won't help the majority of people with Parkinsons who have a disease that is caused by an inability to utilize ferric iron by ferrochelatase and porphyrin, as is the case with Manganese Toxicity and MPTP. 80% of Parkinsons is environmental. 20% of Parkinsons is genetic. Tellurium is an environmental toxin that is mutagenic. Tellurium inhibits ferric iron utilization and the utilization of iron by porphyrin. [log in to unmask]
