In order to establish whether you have Parkinson's disease or Multiple System Atrophy, the best advice I would offer would be to seek a consultation with a neurologist who SPECIALIZES in the diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders. Self-diagnosis can be both time-consuming and even a waste of time and energy (and possibly even dangerous) unless you are trained in this area of medicine. If you don't know of a neurologist specializing in movement disorders, please know the PDF maintains a referral list of qualified, experienced neurologists. I'd be happy to check our lists for your area. All I'd need is the city in which you live.

  Subject: Sleep Apnea with PD?

I am currently trying to establish whether I am PD or MSA. Sleep apnea seems to have come upon me recently, and I was wondering whether this happens in 'pure' PD or only in MSA? Can anybody help me with this?
