got a few more. Here's a timely one "for Carole"---
PalatinoTHE CAT SPEAKS OF SPRING
Impatiently I wait,
while days lengthen and
green surfaces from winter dullness.
Daily I examine
barren earth
for shoots of promise.
Then, quietly,
they appear--
tentatively asserting themselves,
and with the blessing
of rain and sun,
thrusting upward!
Soon I will be
invisible,
in my daylily jungle!
