Name: Frans van Duinen
Born in Holland some 53 years ago.
Moved to Canada almost 32 years ago.
My dad had Parkinson's and Diabetese (type II)
Always expected I'd develop Diab. some day; got PD instead.
First symptoms '90/'91, diagnosed '93.
I've been on a low carbohydrate diet for some 18 months to keep insulin levels
in line (chronically elevated insulin levels are implicated as a cause of Type
II Diabetes and now it appears also in some forms of PD).
I am generally quite pleased with the diet though I understand my protein
intake may interfere with the Sinemet.
But enough about me ...
