Shirley,
I am confused, which can happen easily! Are you going to Iowa City for a 2nd opinion, or will this be a new diagnosis? Do you have Parkinson's? My dad was diagnosed 2 years ago with PD,(probably had it for 2 years before). He has been going every 4 months or so for follow up. His regular doctor he sees there, suggested he see the movement disorder specialist because dad had some atypical symptoms showing up. So, within an hour this DR. Rodnitzy made a new diagnosis for my dad. He has PSP. It is under the "umbrella" of PD diseases. It is worse than PD. So this is the next hurdle to get over. I, myself have never made the trip with my parents to Iowa City. I live in Kentucky and I belong to this group to get inf. for my parents. I can get more inf. from my mom if you like. I know that they enjoy going there, everyone is helpful.
My mother had family in Quincy, use to run around there. Where do you live?

Kathy, It's for me. Yes it is a small world. Ed has family that works there also. Maybe you can tell me,how long all these tests take. The letter stated as an outpatient, but it didn't say how many days. It did say I may have to return for more visits. I have no idea whom I will be seeing but I'm sure they are all very good. I have been to Galesburg many times. I use to own a beauty shop in Quincy,Il.in the old Lincoln Douglas Hotel. That was in the 80"s Shirley
