Jeanette,

I went through an extensive screening process including blood chemistry and
four EKGs initially and every three weeks plus a physical initially. I am
on an agonist of some sort. That's all I've been told. There is only about
a 20-25% chance of getting a placebo and I feel received the agonist because
of the nausea during titration weeks. I started screening 12/15/99 and I'm
finished 4/15/00.

They need volunteers desperately.

Larry, What drug are you receiving via the Transdermal Patch? Do you have
to be monitored daily, weekly or bi-weekly in Phase II trials?

Janet,

I found your article about drug trials rather interesting. Did I tell you
I
was participating in the Transdermal Patch Phase II trials. Unfortunately,
it is being received coolly by the PWP community as only 20 patients have
been enrolled nationally. There is a good chance it may not go forward for
lack of volunteers.

I find the patch very agreeable after the first two weeks and the study has
made me realize how under-medicated I was.
