Jeannette,
You asked if the Pennies for Parkinson program is still funding Seed Grant
research.
The answer is an unequivocal YES. The Pennies for Parkinson program was one
fund raiser they experimented with. The organization is the Parkinson
Alliance.
It just so happens that I took on the Alliance as my pet project. I wrote a
book, prior to my Parkinson's and when published, I was diagnosed with
Parkinson's,
Rather than sell the book, I decided to give it away free for a donation to
the Parkinson's Alliance. The name is "HEART AND SOUL, A Love Story from a
Man's Perspective"
it is not available in book stores or libraries.
I shelved the promotion when I pushed for letters to NIH for stem cell
guidelines. I am now working on a program for letters to Congress and planned
to promote the book again after that campaign.
You can get one from me. Simply send me a check made out to Parkinson's
Alliance. And I'll send you my 216 page novel. They qualify as a tax
deductible charity.
I raised over $5,000 with it.
My original plan was to offer it as a money raiser by Support Groups for the
Parkinson's Alliance. I've laid that aside until the political campaign eases
up.
If interested send your check to: Sid Levin, 51 Cornell Ave, Larkspur, CA
94939.
(Minimum donation $20)
My offer is also valid for anyone else reading this bulletin.
Remember: Your donation is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
