Thank you, Hilary, for joining in so quickly!

Dr. McKay, you are on the right track! I am glad
that you said that the substantia nigra cells
"APPEAR" to be dead.

Dead or dormant? Or blocked? Or crusted over?
.
Sometimes when I look in the mirror too early, , I have
serious doubts ...maybe I appear dead-to-the-world!

Really, I still believe that Dr. McKay is correct, that
our cells really are NOT dead...I maintain that
the substantia nigra cells are.just DORMANT.

We all talk about toxic side-effects of Sinemet
or Madopar. OK scientists, lets talk:

Somebody on PIEN (who was it?) said that if you
take a Sinemet, break it, and leave it in a white
sink overnight, it BLACKENS the sink.

And it stains the urine. So does Tasmar. Mine
sometimes looks like.... bright orange Gatorade?

The point is, in LIFE, NOT post-mortem, would antioxidants
clear up the MESS that blocks up our system... a Sinemet
or Madopar -caused excess of too much phenyalanine (L-dopa)??

Are the gates of the blood-brain barrier crusted over or
blocked by the "JUNK" in our system???

Are we all hobling around with Sinemet or Madopar crusts on our
cells, that give the POST-MORTEM cells their name of
"substantia nigra" ?

It becomes even more clear how we need to re-orient our
thinking, when one looks at the word negro, or "negra" ,
which is Latin for BLACKENED, in turn from the Greek
or Egyptian word for DEAD ("nekros").

We need terrminology based on LIFE ,on LIVING,
 not on DYING.

I still believe and always will that "Parkinson's Disease"
can be, and WILL be overcome. I for one refuse to be
pronounced dead!
