Dear Fred,
My prayers are with you and Barb, I will be thinking of her daily. With
regard to rhabdomyolosis, it is listed as a possible adverse reaction
under pramipexole. Also, please ask her physicians to consider use of
Elavil as a possible contributing factor, at least to the dyskinesias.
Although it is generally considered to be safe, a client of mine (much
older than Barb) was using it and had adverse consequences. Under
"Contraindications" for amitryptiline (Elavil) is stated: 'Parkinson's
disease' -- Tricyclic antidepressants should be used with caution in
patients with Parkinson's disease. Tricyclic antidepressants rarely can
induce or worsen extrapyramidal symptoms. In addition, involuntary
movements, which appear to be tardive dyskinesia, can occur. '

I am praying for Barb, please keep us updated on her progress.

My very best to you both,
Kathrynne
