I just got a notice from the Conference on English Education that
Lorri Neilsen's book, _Knowing Her Place: Research LIteracies and
Feminist Occasions_, has won the 1999 Richard A. Meade Award from the
CEE. The award "recognizes an outstanding piece of published
research in either preservice or in-service education of
English/language arts teachers."
Congratulations, Lorri.
