Martha, "Kinesia" means movement (Greek derivative). "Brady" (also Greek) means "slow"; so "bradykinesia" means very slow movements (a "slowing down" of one's activities). "Dys" (also Greek) means "abnormal", so a "Dyskinesia" is an abnormal movement. Same root as in "dysfunctional" family, an "abnormally" functioning family. what do the numbers people put behind their names at the end of > their letters mean, everytime I think I have it figured out something > convinces me I'm wrong. I think that what you are referring to are those instances where people are posting something like 50/10. If that is what you are talking about, it means age of onset and how many years they have had Parkinson's. Hope this helps. Best, Bob ********************************************** Robert A. Fink, M.
