That's great, janet! We *may* both have raided (robbed? :-)
?) the same ASCII-art bank. I don't really want to sound like
the geeky 'Net old-timer that I really am, but ASCII-art always
makes me yearn for the old-days of 24-line/80-column terminals
and terminal emulators. Folks were oh-so-much-more creative
then. [G]
At the same time, it makes me feel a little sad for the "new-
timers" (does that make sense?!?) -- especially our friends on
AOL or any of the Web-based mail systems such as HotMail, Rocket-
Mail, YahooMail, and the like. Without some major mouse effort,
those people will never be able to experience the creativity be-
cause they can't change their mail reader to use a mono-spaced
(typewriter-like) font.
Helvetica-shmelvetica, Courier rules!
And people just don't understand why I telnet into a UNIX
shell account and use Pine/vi to send and read mail. They just
don't know what they're missing.
