    >> Also, I've been asked about a special vibrating pen for people with
Parkinsons - apparently it vibrates, which allows ease of writing. Any ideas
where this may be found and bought? <<

At the moment it can be found and bought ONLY in the Netherlands.

Homme lives in Holland and has suffered from Parkinson's Disease for the
past 15 years. A keen craftsman, Homme noticed that he could control his
power tools more easily than a pen. Coming across a vibrating pen in a toy
shop one day, Homme was inspired to create the 'Dynamic Liner'.

After making a prototype (assembled from part of a tent pole and the
motor of a nasal hair clipper), Homme contacted Dr Gielen at the Noordelijke
Hogeschool Leeuwarden, a local technical college, for advice. Together they
developed the pen further and soon a precision engineer, Wybe van der Gang
from Exakt, was involved. After another 18 months, the stylish 'Dynamic
Liner' was produced.

'Most people with Parkinson's Disease are asked, for instance at a
ticket office, to fill out a form. This situation, when everybody is in a
hurry, is a total stress event for Parkinson people. All those watching eyes
make you nervous like a rabbit meeting a hungry snake. The behaviour of
other people in our society has a paralysing effect on Parkinsonians. My
first goal was to give people like myself a number of developments which
could restore their self-confidence'.
