Dear Kathy,
I have had Parkinson's for 21 or 22 years. I was DXed at age 37. My
neurologist, like yours, sent me to a specialist. Ask if the specialist is
taking patients, or will he see you once a year.

There are several methods of taking Parkinson's medications. One is to not
take any as long as you can stand it so you will have enough when you are
farther along. Or take it now because a cure is around the corner.

Ask about peer counselors. Many Parkinson's treatment centers have them.

Ask about protein if they put you on Sinemet.

Start an exercise program and keep at it daily!
