Eat All You Want- And Don't Get Fat 29 Apr 2k

If you're like me, envious of those skinny models for weight-
loss ads constantly seen on TV, here's hope: Workers found the
gene in mice that promotes the production of cells that store
fat. It becomes active only if the mice get a fatty diet during
their growth phase. Mice lacking that gene may eat all they want
and whatever they want, but don't get fat. The corresponding gene
in humans is more than 98% identical to the mouse gene, so
workers hope to find a drug that interferes with its effect.
