Some of you may remember Bruce Anderson, who was active on the List up
to the middle of last year.  For five years Bruce thought he had PD,
then one of the PD+ diseases.  He was just recently diagnosed by Dr
Stanley Fahn at Columbia Presbyterian in NYC with something so rare that
they have seen it only twice before there.
It's called Generalized Freezing Syndrome.  Bruce can't walk & speak,
and he has problems keeping his eyes open, his mouth closed, with
swallowing and chocking and with drooling.  He can't work anymore.
There is no treatment. Bruce wants to write to hospitals or medical
schools that have Movement Disorders departments to see if any of them
have had any experience with this disease, and Dr. Fahn has encouraged
him to do this.  Please send any names of such hospitals to
Bruce at [log in to unmask]  A doctor's name and the
address would be helpful but aren't necessary.  Thank you"
