Jo Ann... MOI a published writer? Nope, m'dear, after being the systems operator of my own computer bulletin board (a "BBS" in the lingua franca of that era) for 5 years, I was hired by MSN as a independent contractor to develop and manage one of their online forums. I decided to do a medical-related forum, hence the birth of Ms.'s "Chronic Disease & Disorders Forum." Eventually I had a staff of 14 individuals - all having some kind of illness as of course did (errrrr.... make that :"DO") did too, since I'd already lived with PD for almost two decades.... MSN and I parted ways when I felt my health was being jeopardized by working 16 or 18 hours a day 7 days a week... 'bout 3 years of that was 'bout 2 years too long - health-wise. Funny, but I worked just as long if not longer for a LOT less money when I was the SysOp of my own BBS, and while I liked working for MSN, I LOVED working for MYSELF.
