Two things occurred to me based on my wife Aliza's experiences.
1.You are overmedicated with PD drugs and you are
therefore suffering from side-effects;especially causing
discoloration.Does the discoloration temporarily disappear when massaged?
Massage may be a helpful tool.
2.I was surprised that you are not on diuretics to reduce the swelling.
Gil Lieberman,CG for Aliza 76,PD dx 2/95,Sinemet CR 200/50 every four hours
around the clock.

I have a repeated problem with foot and leg swelling right side only the
Parkinson affected side.Parkinsons for 12years both left and right foot
including about 6inches above ankle always a red/mauve color.Developed
over these past few years. For 2 weeks now the right foot and increasing
now upto knee almost,has become so swollen cannot wear a shoe and skin
bright red and tender to the touch.Have been on penicillan antibiotic
for ten days swelling went down considerably and red ness also
decreased.Now finished the tablets and once again the foft and leg badly
swollen and painful.Rest does help anyone else have this problem?. I am
taking sinemet elderpryl,comtan, mirapex. Neuro does not know  w hat it
is am being treated by my GP
Some years back I had split tendon surgery on 4 toes of this foot am
thinking of going to podiatrist to check out all is  ok.Would like to
hear from anyone with same problem
