Yes, unfortunately, as of January, 2000 Bob's insurance company (our private pay insurance company) stopped covering his prescription drugs.  The prices of his meds use up most of his disability income.  You would think working 22 years with the railroad would at least give you drug coverage if you should become totally disabled.  The railroad will give him drug coverage again when he reaches age 65.  Doesn't that sound illegal?  The railroad covers their healthy employee, denies coverage to an employee who gets seriously ill, and then the company will cover the disabled employee when (and if) they reach age 65.  It's the old adage.... the rich get richer... the poor get poorer.
