I agree that in order to properly diagnose PD, one should seek a specialist
in movement  disorders. I was diagnosed with PD  in December of 1994. I
followed up with a specialist in PD in NJ. He felt that there was a 75%
chance that I did in fact have PD. I continued with the neurologist that
initially diagnosed me with PD. To make a long story short, I treated for PD
thru April of 1997. It was at that time that it was determined that I was
misdiagnosed. This came from several new doctors that I saw in the beginning
of 1997. One of the doctors was from the Parkinsons Institute in  Sunnyvale,
Ca.
Essentially, I am trying to say that proper medical attention with a
qualified physician  in movement  disorders is a must.... Allan
