David, So glad you are doing better.

I don't take any antidepressants,
I have found  when I become engulfed with depression its usually time
for another Sinemet.  Usually within 30-45 minutes the
depression lifts and I can go stumbling on my way.

I make certain I never take more than my prescribed (4) 25/100
Sinemets a day however.  I learned that from Brian Collins and
his charts very early on ,when I joined this group in 1994 or 1995,
and I can't remember which.  I joined as a part of the library news
group in the beginning, and then later on in my own name.

I do have purpura, which is caused from the Carbadopa in the
Sinemet, and it makes my skin very fragile, but considering
the alternative, I'm not about to quit taking Sinemet. I just
slap a big patch band-aide on the purpura, if its bleeding, and go right on.
