Hi all,

When my first neurologist put me on Sinemet, and I started do-
ing some research on it, this "brain damage" theory is one of the
first things I ran into. Since, in the beginning, this drug ap-
peared to do nothing for me, every neurologist I talked to from
that point on, got the same question: "Doesn't this Sinemet thing
cause even more brain damage?" And, if memory serves, :-/ they
all said that they hadn't heard about that.

On my last visit to my current neurologist, one of the reasons
he put me on Requip was that some researchers had theorized that
Sinemet might cause further brain damage.

Is this sounding like an urban legend to anybody else? Does
anybody have the "last word" on this thing? Or, like PD itself,
is it simply physically impossible to tell what's happening while
the PD patient is still moving and breathing? :-/

I wonder what other features of this "designer dis-ease" I can
learn to ... er, uh, ... (well, I guess I have to use the word)
     hate?.

        Well, I'm still rockin' but I ain't grokin' ...
