I agree Bob it should be mandatory and to keep it updated too..I have been online for 4 years and never had a virus until I joined the list in January this year. It isnt because of msft or its products it is because all of us can be receiving infected emails. I have sent unintentionally some at one point myself even though I had McAfee at the time, it didn't pick it up.
