Hi Cari---I don't know about PIE, but it has been my experience that this sort of "feelings thread" happens pretty regularly on CARE wihout naming a topic. If you want to suggest one there's certainly no problem that I can see--I and others often do, but not in a formally organized way. I thoink in Chuck's cae, because he's not a CG, he misses that on CARE-- >> >>I would propose that we take turns in choosing a weekly topic to exchange >>views about. This could be as simple as "Depression," or "Anger" or a >>little more elaborate, such as "What are the positive things PD has >>brought into your life." An always OK topic would be "How is your NOW," >>a catch all to allow discussion of today's experience with PD, its >>challenges, absurdities, teaching ability, etc. >> >>If anyone is interested, please advise, and you are welcome to post me >>privately. >> >>Chuck Murray >>[log in to unmask] > > >Charles - I don't recall your last "vulnerable feelings" post but I think >your suggestion is wonderful - it would give many of us (even me, an out of >town daughter) a pertinent issue to focus on for a bit - sort of like group >therapy for free! > >If it was approved by the List Owners (PIE &/or CARE) we should try it >overall - I can't imagine that it would overload the daily messages any more >so than any other topic or issue that is raised on a daily basis - especially >if the SUBJECT HEADER would be used properly - and it was noted as "XXXX" for >easy deletion or reading - >If not agreed to, why couldn't we just find a chat room through whomever - >AOL, Yahoo, i don't know - i mean i really don't know how that works (except >for Buddy Chat on AOL) but it would be soooooo helpful - > >more responses/opinions out there? > >Cari > daughter of Dempsey-PWP (71/16+) > & Jo Ann-CGiver Camilla Flintermann, CG for Peter 82/70/55 Oxford, Ohio <[log in to unmask]> on PDWebring at http://members.tripod.lycos.nl/genugten/flinterm.htm "Ask me about the CARE list for Caregivers of Parkinsonians !
