Dear Listfriends, Some of the drug manufacturers will provide medications free if your physician requests it. I have had clients who, with their spouses, were taking numerous medications, and found that several of their medications could be supplied free, sometimes for a few months, sometimes indefinitely. The information used to be available in a booklet that you could request; now it's online at: http://www.phrma.org/patients/ You need to check the manufacturers of any medications you are using, then look up that mfr on the website and determine whether they are offering that particular medication. You then take the information to your physician who can request the company provide it to you. Don't be put off by information stating that the individual must have exhausted all other resources -- in most cases, your physician makes the determination, and makes the request to the pharmaceutical company. If you don't have access to the Internet, you can ask your public library to access this site and print it out for you.
