I had a problem swallowing and went through the same type of procedure. I
also got immediate relief. I take Prilosec daily to control gastric reflux.
I was also told the procedure may need to be repeated, but the Prilosec
should at least delay that need. My problem did not involve a hiccup
reaction as Jim reported, but it was very disconcerting - at times food got
stuck in my esophagus. I don't think this problem is related to my PD(?).
