Bob Chapman found out about a generic version of SinemetCR 50/200 and is wondering about it. My latest shipment from Athena in San Francisco is also a generic equivalent. It is not called Sinemet any longer, instead the name now is Carbidopa and Levodopa Extended Release. It is manufactured by Mylan. For short it is named CARB/LEVO ER TAB 50-200MG. It is less expensive than the original although the difference is not large. I find no difference in application and effects, although there have been some warnings on the List that it should be treated as a different medicine with careful titration to guard against possible effects.
